Cardo Brussels

An artistic collaboration inside a cultural hospitality context

A layered artistic collaboration with Cardo Brussels weaving exhibited work, live artistic presence and participatory moments across gatherings held within the hotel's cultural programme.

The Context

A design-led hospitality venue in Brussels with an active cultural programme, seeking artistic collaborations that could carry beyond decoration and shape the atmosphere of guest experience.

The Invitation

To bring an artist-led presence into the venue across formats: exhibited paintings, live art within events, and participatory activations that invite guests into the material rather than only around it.

What ARTKOM Created

Exhibited works held in the venue, live painting within cultural gatherings, and carefully framed participatory moments where guests could contribute to a shared canvas alongside performers, hosts and other visitors.

Inside the Process

The work moved between spectacle and intimacy, an emerging canvas anchoring the room while individual guests approached, made marks and stepped back into conversation. Performers, staff and visitors met inside the same material register.

What Became Visible

A hospitality context in which art was not backdrop but shared practice. Guests carried away a felt sense of participation, and the venue gained visual traces that continue to live inside its programme.
